J-K: Anti-terror search operation continues for seventh day in Rajouri's Manjakote Sector

A joint cordon and search operation by the Indian Army, Jammu and Kashmir Police, and the Central Reserve Police Force in the dense forest areas of Gambhir Mughlan and Dorimal in the Manjakote sector of Rajouri district entered its seventh day on Friday.
The operation was launched based on intelligence inputs indicating the presence of suspected terrorists hiding in the region.
On Thursday, heavy firing and shelling erupted in Rajouri's Dorimal forest area as Operation Sheruwali reached a critical stage, with security forces tightening the cordon to neutralise suspected militants hiding in the dense terrain.
According to officials, a massive deployment of security forces, along with additional reinforcements and logistical support, has been rushed to the encounter site to ensure a "strong and impenetrable cordon" and to prevent any attempt by militants to escape through the thick forest cover.
The operation is being carried out on a large scale, with officials stating that "every possible effort" is being made to neutralise the hiding militants. The entire area remains under strict security surveillance as search and combing operations continue deep inside the forest belt.
The operation was launched following specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence of suspected terrorists hiding in the area. Security forces continue to maintain a tight perimeter as efforts are underway to flush out the militants from the dense forest region.

It's been a week already and still the operation is ongoing! The terrain there is so tough, I can't even imagine how our jawans are managing. Big respect for their dedication. But I hope the intelligence was accurate and not a false lead that has put so many lives at risk.
Operation Sheruwali sounds like a well-coordinated effort. This is what we need - joint operations by Army, JKP and CRPF working together. No compromise on national security! 🙏
As someone who has traveled to the Rajouri region, I can only imagine how difficult these operations are. The forest cover there is incredibly dense and rugged. Praying for the safety of our forces and a swift conclusion to this operation. 🇮🇳
Seven days is a long time for a search operation. I hope the forces are getting proper rest and supplies. The mental and physical toll on our jawans must be immense. My family and I are keeping them in our prayers. These terrorists have no place in our beautiful Jammu and Kashmir.
While I fully support the operation, I also think we need to address the root causes of terrorism in the region. Military operations alone won't solve this problem. We need development, education and jobs for the youth of J&K. But for now, full support to our forces! 🙏
