Israeli Forces Eliminate Hezbollah Terrorist Who Was Working to Rehabilitate Military Infrastructure in South Lebanon
Tel Aviv, February 16
The IDF reported that it attacked early Monday morning and eliminated a terrorist who was engaged in an attempt to rehabilitate military infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in the Hanin area in southern Lebanon.
"The terrorist's actions constituted a violation of the understandings between Israel and Lebanon," said the IDF.
The IDF also reported that last week forces from its 91st Division "the Galilee Formation" eliminated three Hezbollah terrorists who were working to restore the terrorist organization's infrastructure in Lebanon.
In addition, the division forces destroyed several buildings and engineering tools that Hezbollah used to promote terrorist plots in southern Lebanon.

While I support a nation's right to defend itself, the cycle of violence is heartbreaking. Every life lost is a tragedy. When will there be a lasting peace? The civilians caught in the middle suffer the most.
The report says the terrorist was violating "understandings." This shows pre-meditated aggression. Israel is right to act. We've seen in Kashmir how infrastructure built for terror needs to be dismantled proactively. Full support.
Reading this from Delhi. It's a complex situation. But one thing is universal: no country can allow armed groups to build military structures right at its doorstep. The sovereignty argument is strong here.
Good move by IDF. You have to hit them where it hurts - their capability to launch attacks. Destroying the tools and buildings is as important as eliminating the operatives. A lesson for all counter-terror ops.
I have a slightly different take. The article only gives Israel's perspective. What about Lebanon's sovereignty? As an Indian, I believe in dialogue and diplomacy first, even if force is sometimes necessary. This seems like an escalation.
