Israel razes five kilometers of tunnels in Gaza's Beit Hanoun
Tel Aviv, February 26
The Israel Defense Forces said combat engineers recently completed the destruction of five kilometers of tunnels in the northern Gaza area of Beit Hanoun.
The IDF added that soldiers found explosive devices, firearms, RPGs, grenades, ammunition, and surveillance equipment in one of the tunnels.
It's heartbreaking to see the cycle of violence continue. So much infrastructure destroyed. When will the innocent civilians on both sides get to live in peace? My prayers are with all affected families.

Five kilometers is a massive network. Reminds me of the tunnel threats our own forces have to deal with on our borders. Strong action is necessary to neutralize such threats. Full support to Israel on this.

While I understand the security concern, the scale of destruction in Gaza is devastating. There has to be a better way than this. The humanitarian cost is just too high.

Finding surveillance equipment is concerning. This was clearly not just for defense. Israel is doing what any responsible government would do to protect its people from cross-border terrorism.

A respectful criticism: The IDF's announcements are one-sided. We rarely get to hear the Palestinian perspective or see independent verification. The media narrative feels incomplete. Just my two paise.
