Israel Confirms Killing of Hamas Commander Involved in Arms Manufacturing
Tel Aviv, July 26
Israel confirmed on Sunday the death of a Hamas commander who played a key role in the terror group's weapons production.
The Israel Defense Forces said Fares al-Masri was killed in an airstrike in northern Gaza on Tuesday. According to the IDF, Masri headed a section in Hamas' weapons production headquarters.
The IDF also confirmed the death of Muhammad Abu Shakyan, of Hamas' elite Nukhba Force in a separate airstrike on Tuesday.

Finally, some accountability. These terrorist leaders have been hiding among civilians for too long. Israel has every right to defend itself. I hope other nations, including India, learn from their precision approach to counter-terrorism. 🙏
As an Indian, I can't help but think about our own challenges with cross-border terrorism. While I condemn terrorism in all forms, I worry about the humanitarian cost. The number of innocent lives lost in Gaza is heartbreaking. We need a two-state solution, not endless war. 🤷♂️
Killing commanders is a short-term fix. The real issue is the occupation and lack of hope among Palestinians. Without addressing the root causes, new commanders will just pop up. India's own experience shows that dialogue and development work better than military action alone.
Good riddance! These people are responsible for so many rockets fired into Israel. India has always supported Israel's right to self-defense. I just hope this doesn't escalate further. Both sides need to come to the table. But first, Hamas must disarm. 🇮🇳🤝🇮🇱
It's easy to celebrate from afar, but I wonder how many children were also killed in that airstrike. The UN has documented countless violations by both sides. India should use its diplomatic influence to push for an immediate ceasefire and humanitarian access. The world is watching.
