A terrible tragedy. The loss of life is always heartbreaking, regardless of political affiliation. My thoughts are with the families of all the victims, not just Mr. Pawar, but also the pilots, PSO, and flight attendant who lost their lives.

A massive loss for Maharashtra politics. Say what you will about his politics, but he was a mass leader who understood the ground reality. The DGCA must conduct a thorough investigation. Safety of our leaders and citizens in the air cannot be compromised.

While the condolences are appropriate, I hope this tragic incident sparks a serious conversation about the safety standards of chartered flights and smaller airports in India. We cannot afford to lose lives to preventable accidents.

Om Shanti. A stalwart of Marathi politics is gone. His understanding of the cooperative sector and rural economy was unparalleled. Maharashtra has lost a son. The void will be hard to fill.
