Ahmedabad, April 16

Gujarat Titans return to their home ground, the Narendra Modi Stadium, for their upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 match against a struggling Kolkata Knight Riders, who are yet to win a game this season, on Friday.

After a shaky start with back-to-back defeats, the 2022 champions have regained momentum and now come into the fixture on the back of two consecutive wins. Led by Shubman Gill, the Titans most recently defeated the Lucknow Super Giants in Uttar Pradesh, successfully chasing a target of 165 with eight deliveries remaining. Gill contributed 56 runs, while Jos Buttler added 60. However, it was Prasidh Krishna who earned Player of the Match honours for his impressive spell of 4/28.

Their latest setback came against the Chennai Super Kings at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai, where they were beaten by 32 runs. Under the leadership of Ajinkya Rahane, their only point this season came from an abandoned match against the Punjab Kings at the Eden Gardens.

Feeling so bad for KKR fans. Five matches and no win? Something is seriously wrong with the team combination. Rahane is a great guy but maybe they need a more aggressive captain for T20. Time to give Rinku Singh or Sunil Narine more responsibility.

Star Sports and JioHotstar, as always. Good for us fans! Just hoping the stream doesn't buffer at a crucial moment like last time. 🤞 7:30 PM is perfect timing after work.

Watching from Australia! The GT squad looks incredibly balanced. Rashid Khan, Rabada, Siraj... that's a world-class bowling attack. KKR's batting needs to show up big time, or it will be another one-sided affair.

Honestly, the article could have focused a bit more on the key player battles. Gill vs Varun C or Rashid vs Rinku Singh. That's what gets fans excited! Otherwise, all details are covered.

KKR needs a miracle. Their overseas picks like Cameron Green and Finn Allen haven't fired at all. Meanwhile, GT's foreign players are winning them matches. Team management needs a serious rethink after this season, yaar.
