London, August 23

Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy paid a visit to Dr Ambedkar's House in London and called the visit an "inspiration for a lifetime".

He was accompanied by his ministerial colleague D Sridhar Babu during his visit to the globally renowned Ambedkar House.

Babasaheb Dr Ambedkar lived at the address - 10 King Henry's Road in Primrose, London - in 1921-22.

"Visiting Dr Ambedkar House is like a pilgrimage. The inspiration is for a lifetime. I feel renewed dedication for social justice," CM Revanth Reddy wrote in the visitor's diary during his visit.

The Ambedkar House is now a museum dedicated to the ideals of Dr Ambedkar -- constitutionalism, equality, a casteless society without oppression, and the supremacy of social justice.

During the hour-long tour, Santosh Dass MBE, Chair of the Anti Caste Discrimination Alliance (ACDA), who played a key role in establishing the Ambedkar Museum, shared in-depth details about various facets of Babasaheb's life in the UK, the CMO said in a release.

After completing the tour, CM Reddy said, "It has been one of life's great moments... to be able to see and touch a personal aspect of one of the greatest Indians ever born," the CMO added.

Earlier, Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy-led Telangana Rising delegation held a meeting with an academic team from the University of Cambridge in London and discussed opportunities for collaboration in education, research and entrepreneurship.

During the meeting, CM Reddy, along with IT and Industries Minister D Sridhar Babu, K Ramakrishna Rao and Jayesh Ranjan, highlighted the opportunities available for global institutions in Hyderabad and invited them to participate in building a global knowledge hub.

Jaideep Prabhu, Government of India-sponsored Chair of Marketing at Cambridge Judge Business School, and Prof Venkata Serish Gandikota of Cambridge Judge Business School and co-chair of Frugal AI, expressed interest in partnering with Telangana.

Both sides agreed to create a framework for collaboration that would focus on offering education programmes in Hyderabad, promoting research and supporting entrepreneurship incubation.
