Good step, but we need many more such vessels. Our coastline is huge and piracy threats are increasing. Hope the government accelerates induction of more patrol vessels. The name Akshay - "Indestructible" - is apt for our guardians of the sea. 👍
Proud moment for Goa Shipyard! Building such advanced patrol vessels indigenously shows our engineering capabilities. But I hope the crew gets regular maintenance support and spare parts availability - that's often the weak link in our defense procurement. Salute to the Coast Guard personnel.
Beautiful ship! The Fast Patrol Vessel will be great for catching illegal fishing vessels and drug smugglers. Need more such ships on both our coasts. Atmanirbhar in defense is the way forward. Jai Hind! 🚢
Good achievement, but let's not forget that the Coast Guard needs better coordination with Navy and Fisheries Department. Many fishermen still face harassment at sea. Modern ships are fine, but their effectiveness depends on how well they're used. Hope ICGS Akshay serves our nation well.
Awesome news! The "Make in India" push in defense is really working. ICGS Akshay will help protect our maritime borders and assist in search and rescue operations. Proud of our Coast Guard and Goa Shipyard Limited. More such vessels please! 🎉
