Impressive diplomatic calendar for Secretary George—EU, UNGA President, and counter-terrorism meetings all in one week. Shows India's rising global weight. The emphasis on Global South representation at the UN is long overdue. India is positioning itself as a voice for developing nations, and that's a role it should embrace fully.

I'm cautiously optimistic. The 15.2 million euro initiative for EV battery recycling is a step forward, but India needs to ensure that our domestic recycling industry isn't left behind. We should be developing our own technologies alongside these partnerships. Also, UN reform is great in theory, but when will we actually see permanent seats for India? Talk is cheap.

A balanced approach from India—engaging both Europe and the UN on multiple fronts. The EV battery recycling focus is particularly timely given the global push for electric mobility. However, India must ensure these initiatives benefit local startups and small businesses, not just large corporations. Should have more clarity on how the 15.2 million euros will be utilized on the ground.

It's good India is building strategic partnerships beyond the US-China rivalry. The EU is a reliable partner, and this EV battery recycling project can help India become a hub for circular economy in Asia. The UN reform push is also necessary—India deserves a permanent seat given its population and economy. But I wish the article gave more details about the actual implementation timeline.
