Trump Warns Iran: Killing US Troops Would Restart War

US President Donald Trump warned that any killing of US troops by Iran would be a "good reason" to restart war. He slammed the House of Representatives for a "meaningless vote" to limit his war powers, calling it "unpatriotic." The resolution passed 215-208 with support from four Republicans but faces a presidential veto. Trump insisted Iran's military capabilities have been destroyed, despite "fake news" claims.

"If Iran kills US troops, it would be a good reason to restart war": US President Trump

Washington DC, June 5

US President Donald Trump on Thursday said that any killing of US troops by Iran would be a "good reason" to restart war.

Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump said, "If they killed US Troops, it would be a good reason to do so...There is no navy, no air force, we have wiped out their leadership. Then you read in the fake news that they are doing really well in the war, this is unbelievable. They have 159 ships and all of them lie at the bottom of the ocean. We have taken pictures of them down there."

US President Donald Trump on Thursday slammed the House of Representatives for a "meaningless vote" designed to force him to end the Iran war and also bashed the four Republican lawmakers for supporting such an "unpatriotic thing."

On Wednesday, the US House of Representatives voted to halt Trump from taking further military action against Iran. Four Republicans also joined Democrats to vote against Trump to support the resolution, which was passed by 215 votes to 208, and now heads to the Senate.

Trump, in a post on Truth Social, said that those who voted against him would rather see the country "fail" than give him another victory.

He said, "Yesterday, in a meaningless vote, the House voted, 4 bad Republicans and all of the Dumocrats, to limit my War Powers, right in the middle of my final negotiations to end the War with the Islamic Republic of Iran. Who would do such an unpatriotic thing. They know where the negotiations stand. The Democrats are fueled by Trump Derangement Syndrome. They would rather have our Country fail than give me another, of many, victories. The four Republicans, that's a whole other story - They're GRANDSTANDERS! They should be ashamed of themselves. MAGA!!! President DJT."

The vote marks the first successful congressional challenge to Trump since the US and Israel jointly launched military strikes against Iran three months ago on February 28. However, the measure, will ultimately face a presidential veto.

Trump's logic is insane. He says Iran has no navy or air force, then says "if they kill US troops" – how exactly would that happen if they've been wiped out? Total cognitive dissonance. His Truth Social rants sound like a teenager who lost a video game. The GOP should be embarrassed.

Classic Trump – everything is about him winning, even if it means more bloodshed. "Another victory" for him means more deaths in the Middle East. India has historically kept good ties with Iran, and this kind of rhetoric from the US president is deeply concerning. We need to strengthen our independent foreign policy now more than ever.

I'm American and I can't believe this. The House votes to stop war, and Trump calls them "Dumocrats" and "grandstanders." This man has no plan for peace, only escalation. The fact that 4 Republicans crossed party lines shows how dangerous he is. The world is watching, and it's not a good look for the US.

This is exactly why India must never align too closely with the US. One day Trump is praising Modi, the next he's threatening to bomb Iran for clicks. "They should be ashamed of themselves" – he says that about his own lawmakers! Imagine what he says about other countries behind closed doors. Stay neutral, India. 🙏

I'm a retired Indian army officer, and I've never seen such reckless leadership from any world leader. Trump talks about wiping out Iran's navy like it's a game. War is not a game, sir. It kills innocent people – including women and children. The US Congress
