It's nice to see the government using traditional media like Doordarshan for financial literacy. Many elderly people in my family still trust Doordarshan more than YouTube or apps. This is a smart way to reach them.

I've been working in finance for years. The challenge with these awareness campaigns is they often lack depth. A simple scroll message is good for reminding people, but it doesn't teach them how to avoid scams or verify claims. Hope they also do more detailed programs.

Main toh abhi apne papa ko bolti hoon ki Doordarshan dekhna chahiye, woh sabse reliable source hai! 😄 Lekin seriously, unclaimed dividends ka issue bahut common hai in smaller towns. Bahut logon ko pata bhi nahi hai ki unke paas paisa pending hai. Ye awareness bahut zaroori hai.

Honestly, good move by the Ministry. I just wish they would also simplify the IEPF-5 claim process. It's still quite cumbersome for a common person. But at least this will make more people aware of the existence of the fund.

Doordarshan still has a huge rural reach, I see this as a very practical step. Plus, the cost of disseminating info via DD is much lower than private channels. Good use of public broadcast for public good. 👌
