The conference, being hosted by the Haryana Legislative Assembly, will be inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla on June 8 at 3:00 PM in the Haryana Vidhan Sabha hall. Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman Harivansh and Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini are also expected to address the inaugural session.
The Himachal Pradesh delegation includes MLAs Randhir Sharma, Sanjay Rattan, Rakesh Jamwal, Reena Kashyap, Neeraj Nayyar, Kewal Singh Pathania, Sudarshan Kumar Babloo, Harish Janartha, Kamlesh Thakur, and Anuradha Rana.
Assembly Secretary Yashpal Sharma will also accompany the delegation.
Assembly Speaker Kuldeep Singh Pathania is slated to deliver a keynote address on June 9 in Chandigarh, during the plenary sessions. The theme of his address will be "Viksit Bharat 2047: Role of Aware Citizens, Society, and Young Legislators in achieving the National Goal."

Honestly, these conferences often feel like junkets for politicians. They talk about 'aware citizens' but do little on ground. MLAs from Himachal should focus more on local issues like apple growers' problems and road connectivity rather than flying to Chandigarh for photo ops. Just saying. 🤷♀️
Great initiative! The involvement of MPs from J&K, Punjab, Delhi, Haryana along with Himachal shows our democratic spirit. Speaker Pathania sir is known for his articulate speeches. Looking forward to hearing his ideas on Viksit Bharat. 🇮🇳
Interesting that they're discussing 'role of aware citizens' - but where's the citizen participation in these conferences? It's all MLAs and officials. Should open up some sessions to public or at least live-stream them on YouTube for transparency. Accha lagega agar aam aadmi bhi sun sake. 🧐
Glad to see Reena Kashyap ji and Anuradha Rana ji in the delegation - women representation in such forums is essential. Also, Randhir Sharma and Sanjay Rattan are experienced MLAs who can contribute meaningfully. Hope they network well with their counterparts from other states. 🤝
While I appreciate the effort, I wish these conferences would address practical issues like climate change impacts on hill states, disaster management, and tourism regulation instead of broad themes. HP's fragile ecosystem needs immediate attention - not just 2047 visions. 🙏
