It's really sad to lose such a creative mind. But I hope the police investigation is thorough and transparent. The circumstances surrounding his death seem a bit mysterious. Let's not jump to conclusions but wait for the facts.
Om Shanti, Anik da. 'Borunbabur Bondhu' was such a heartwarming film that touched upon loneliness in old age. His storytelling had a rare warmth. 😢 It's a big loss for Bengali cinema. Prayers for his daughter who must be devastated.
I haven't seen all his films but 'Aparajito' was brilliant. It's unfortunate that some political vendetta was played with his work under the previous government. Glad that the current CM is ensuring such censorship doesn't happen. RIP Sir.
Really tragic. But let's not politicise this loss. Both Locket Chatterjee and Rudranil Ghosh are paying tributes, which is good. The focus should be on justice for Anik Dutta and respecting his legacy, not scoring political points. 🙏
