Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank to suspend digital banking services from July 17-22 for core banking system upgrade
Shimla, July 16
The Himachal Pradesh State Cooperative Bank will temporarily suspend major banking and digital banking services for nearly five days from July 17 to July 22 as it undertakes migration to the Finacle Core Banking Solution under the NABARD Umbrella Project.
According to a public notice issued by the bank, the planned maintenance window will begin at 5:00 pm on July 17 and continue until 10:00 am on July 22. During this period, customers will not be able to access branch banking services, ATMs, internet banking, mobile banking, UPI, IMPS, NEFT, RTGS, RuPay debit card services, AEPS and other CBS-dependent digital banking services.
The bank said the migration from its existing Core Banking Solution to the Finacle CBS (version 10.2.25) is aimed at enhancing banking services, strengthening security and improving the overall customer experience. The migration is being carried out under the NABARD Umbrella Project for the implementation of Core Banking Solutions in cooperative banks.
HPSCB has advised customers to plan their banking transactions in advance and complete any urgent financial transactions before the maintenance window begins to avoid inconvenience.
The bank expressed regret for the temporary disruption and said every effort would be made to complete the migration within the scheduled timeline and restore all services at the earliest.
It also thanked customers for their patience and continued support, stating that the upgrade is an important step towards providing a more secure, robust and technologically advanced banking platform.
Customers requiring assistance during the migration period have been advised to contact their nearest HPSCB branch or the bank's customer care.
Earlier this year, CM Sukhu appreciated HPSCB's performance and lauded its efforts to extend modern, technology-driven banking services while maintaining its core objective of serving the general public.
He said that HPSCB has been playing a key role in implementing various State Government schemes, such as the e-taxi scheme, thereby ensuring the timely delivery of financial benefits to the people.
Meanwhile, Managing Director of HPSCB, Shravan Manta, informed that HPSCB has consistently strengthened its financial position, expanded its branch network and adopted digital banking solutions to enhance customer convenience.

😡 Extremely inconvenient for daily wage workers in Himachal! We rely on UPI and ATMs for everything. Why can't they do this maintenance overnight or in phases? This is hurting common people.
Good move! NABARD's umbrella project is great for cooperative banks. We need more tech upgrades in rural banking. But please give proper notice next time - at least a week before.
As someone from Mandi, I appreciate CM Sukhu's support for cooperative banks. But seriously, 5 days without banking services in a hilly state like HP is difficult. At least keep ATMs working, please.
😠 This is ridiculous! We are in 2024 and cooperative banks still need 5 days to upgrade systems. Private banks do this overnight. Poor planning by HPSCB. Disappointed.
The e-taxi scheme is great for local youth employment in Himachal. Glad HPSCB is implementing it. Hope the new Finacle system makes these government benefit transfers smoother. Jai Himachal! 🙏
