Every year same story "heatwave this heatwave that" but no one plants trees or builds proper shelters for the poor. We keep complaining about global warming but do nothing. 🤷‍♀️ At least they are forecasting thundershowers next week - hope it actually rains.

That's intense. I'm from Canada and our summer rarely crosses 35 degrees. 46 is literally life-threatening. Please take care everyone - stay hydrated, avoid going out in the afternoon if possible. The hailstorm warning for some districts is also concerning.

I really feel for our farmers. This heat is devastating for crops. And imagine the daily wage workers who have no choice but to work under this sun. The government should announce compensation for heat-related losses. Also, 40-50 kmph winds with hailstorms? That's scary.

Honestly, I'm not surprised. Our summers are getting worse each year. But at least they're giving a thunderstorm warning unlike earlier when people wouldn't know. Just wish they also mentioned what people should do - like staying indoors near windows etc. during hailstorms.

From a global perspective, this is exactly what climate scientists have been warning about. India's heatwaves are becoming more frequent and intense. The silver lining here is the forecast for rain - that could offer some relief. But long term, we need serious adaptation strategies.
