Gujarat: BJYM unveils two statewide initiatives focused on careers and women's leadership
Gandhinagar, July 14
The Gujarat unit of the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha on Tuesday announced two statewide campaigns aimed at expanding youth engagement through career guidance and leadership development, while outlining a new organisational action plan aligned with the vision of "Viksit Bharat-2047".
The initiatives, titled 'Yuva Disha-Darshan Samvad' and 'Viksit Bharat Shakti Sampark Abhiyan-2026', were announced during a special full-day meeting of the Gujarat BJP Yuva Morcha at the party's state headquarters in Gandhinagar.
The meeting was attended by state BJP president Jagdish Vishwakarma, state BJYM president and Vadodara MP Dr Hemang Joshi, and the organisation's state in-charge Kirit Patel.
According to the party, the campaigns are intended to strengthen the organisation while connecting young people across Gujarat with education, career opportunities, leadership, social responsibility and nation-building initiatives.
Under the plan, Yuva Disha-Darshan Samvad will focus on career counselling, skill development and awareness of emerging opportunities, while Viksit Bharat Shakti Sampark Abhiyan-2026 will seek to encourage leadership, public participation and the involvement of young women in nation-building.
The meeting was also linked with a study tour for party workers, a format introduced under the guidance of state president Jagdish Vishwakarma.
The objective was to provide participants with practical exposure to development projects alongside organisational training and knowledge enhancement.
As part of the programme, workers visited Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), described by the party as one of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's flagship projects.
During the visit, they toured the GIFT City Control and Command Centre, where they were briefed on the city's management systems, security arrangements, surveillance infrastructure and the use of advanced technology in urban administration.
The delegation also visited Pandit Deendayal Energy University (PDEU) to learn about developments in higher education, research and the energy sector.
Following the study tour, the meeting focused on strengthening the organisation, personality development of workers and carrying out activities with an emphasis on service, organisational work and the principle of "Nation First".
Vishwakarma said, "The true impact of the organisation is built through the identity of its workers, continuous public outreach, service and dedication to the organisation. Every worker should continuously travel across their area, develop close relations with different sections of society, bring new workers into the organisation and consistently strive to take the organisation's ideas to the people."
He added, "By embracing the organisation's ideology, service, dedication and the resolve of 'Nation First', Yuva Morcha workers should work with the commitment to further strengthen the organisation at every booth."
Yuva Morcha state in-charge Kirit Patel guided workers on organising programmes under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and the "Mann Ki Baat" initiative.
He appreciated the work carried out by the organisation so far and encouraged workers to continue public outreach with greater dedication and effort.
Dr Hemang Joshi said the Prime Minister had placed youth at the centre of the "Viksit Bharat" vision.
"Young people should not merely be witnesses to development, but active participants in development, agents of change and key architects of nation-building," he said.
Explaining the two campaigns, he said, "Yuva Disha-Darshan Samvad will connect young people with the right career guidance, skills and new opportunities for the future, while Viksit Bharat Shakti Sampark Abhiyan-2026 will make young women across the state active participants in leadership, public participation and the nation-building process. A young person who receives the right direction builds a successful future, and empowered women provide new energy to the entire society."
The BJYM said the campaigns would be organised across Gujarat in collaboration with educational institutions, youth organisations, subject experts, social organisations and experienced mentors from different sectors.
Detailed implementation plans will be announced later.
As part of the career guidance initiative, interactions with subject experts will be organised in colleges, universities and other educational institutions across the state to provide students with guidance on career choices, emerging opportunities and future planning.
The meeting was attended by state office-bearers, conveners and co-conveners of various organisational cells, district and city presidents, and general secretaries.
