While these high-level talks are important, I hope our focus remains on securing our immediate borders. Partnerships are good, but self-reliance in defense (Atmanirbhar Bharat) should be the ultimate goal. The Greek defense industry collaboration is a step in that direction.

Greece is an important maritime nation. There's potential for cooperation in naval technology and securing sea lanes, which is vital for our trade. Smart diplomacy at work here.

Respectfully, I hope these "in-depth conversations" translate into real benefits for the common citizen—more jobs, better technology transfer, and not just diplomatic statements. The proof will be in the pudding.

As an observer, India's proactive foreign policy is impressive. Building bridges with a NATO member like Greece while maintaining its independent stance is a delicate and skillful balancing act
