Google Pixel 11 series unveiled, check out other key announcements

On Wednesday, Google has officially unveiled its latest Pixel lineup, introducing the Pixel 11, Pixel 11 Pro, Pixel 11 Pro XL, and the foldable Pixel 11 Pro Fold.
All four phones are powered by Google's new Tensor G6 chipset and feature IP68-rated protection, enhanced Gemini AI capabilities, and upgraded 5x telephoto cameras.
The design didn't change drastically compared to the Pixel 10, although it now comes in a few new colors: a lilac-like frost, hibiscus pink, pistachio green, and obsidian black, as per The Verge.
Google also said its battery lasts over 30 hours and supports 25 percent faster wireless charging than the Pixel 10.
The Pixel 11 also gets a significant camera upgrade, along with a redesigned camera bump that's more than 40 percent thinner than the one on the Pixel 10. On the back, it features a 48MP wide camera, a 13MP ultrawide lens, and a 10.8MP 5x telephoto camera, while the front houses a 10.5MP selfie camera. Google says the 48MP main sensor offers 56 percent greater light sensitivity, while the 5x telephoto camera can deliver up to 30x Super Zoom.
Unfortunately, the Pixel 11 also got a USD 100 price bump -- it now starts at USD 899, but the base configuration has 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, rather than the 128GB of storage in the Pixel 10's starting configuration. It launches on August 20th.
Google's Pixel 11 Pro and 11 Pro XL include a new feature in the camera bar called HiLight, which is an LED indicator light for things like Gemini interactions and incoming calls from favorite contacts. Google says the little LED will get more capabilities down the line, like signaling message notifications from frequent contacts.
The Pixel 11 Pro also features an upgraded display that maxes out at 3,600 nits. Inside, it has Google's Tensor G6 chip like the base Pixel 11. The camera includes a new 48MP telephoto lens with up to 120x Pro Zoom and a new 50MP wide lens, along with a 48MP ultrawide lens and a 42MP selfie camera. According to Google, it offers over 30 hours of battery life and over 29 percent faster wireless charging compared to the Pixel 10 Pro / Pro XL, as per The Verge.
The Pixel 11 Pro starts at USD 1,099 with 256GB of storage and 12GB of RAM, while the Pro XL starts at USD 1,299 with the same specs. The 512GB and 1TB storage options include 16GB of RAM. The Pro and Pro XL are both available in four colors: canyon, fog, olive, and matte obsidian.
Google said the Pixel 11 Pro Fold features the thinnest bezels ever on a Fold and claims it's three times as durable as the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with IP68 water and dust resistance and a back material that's "designed to be nearly impossible to crack."
The Fold's displays are 20 percent brighter than last year's model and the inner display goes up to 3,600 nits of brightness like the Pixel 11 Pro / Pro XL. It also runs on Google's Tensor G6 chip and offers up to 24 hours of battery life. The camera includes a new 48MP wide lens plus a 10.5MP ultrawide lens and a 10.8MP telephoto lens with up to 30x Super Zoom.
The Pixel 11 Pro Fold costs $100 more than last year's model, starting at USD 1,899 for a base configuration with 256GB of storage and 16GB of RAM, and comes in two color options: olive and black.

Honestly, the camera improvements sound impressive, especially the 5x telephoto and 56% better light sensitivity. But with the price bump, I'll wait for the Festival Season discounts in India. The previous Pixel 10 dropped significantly during Diwali sales. Patience pays! 😄📸
The Tensor G6 chip is promising, but let's be real - in India, we still need robust service center support. Google's after-sales in smaller cities has been spotty. If they want to grow here, they need to fix that first, not just bump up specs and prices.
That lilac frost color looks gorgeous! 😍 But why is the Fold at ₹1.5 lakh+? For that price, I could buy a laptop. The HiLight LED feature is a nice touch, though. Wish they'd launch these at more competitive prices for the Indian market.
I've been a Pixel fan since the 3, but even I'm struggling with these prices. The 256GB base storage is good, but in India, we need dual SIM support without compromises. Also, the battery life claim of 30 hours is in lab conditions - real-world usage here with hot weather drains much faster. Just saying.
The camera bump being 40% thinner is great - I hate how the current Pixel rocks on a table. Also, the new colors are so pretty! Bring it to India with good exchange offers and I'm sold. But please, Google, launch it in the same week as the US - we're tired of waiting months!
