Nayara Energy Slashes Petrol and Diesel Prices: Consumers Get Big Relief

Nayara Energy has reduced petrol and diesel prices by ₹5 and ₹3 per litre, respectively, across its retail outlets effective July 1. The price cut eliminates the premium previously charged over government OMCs. Consumers at the pumps have expressed gratitude for the relief, citing increased convenience. Additionally, oil marketing companies have reduced commercial LPG cylinder prices by ₹183.50 in Delhi.

Good news for consumers as Nayara Energy slashes petrol and diesel prices

Lucknow, July 1

As crude oil prices in the global market cool down, Nayara Energy on Wednesday slashed its petrol and diesel rates by Rs 5 and ₹3 per litre, respectively, across its several retail outlets in the country.

Paras Mani Yadav, the owner of a Nayara petrol pump in Lucknow, confirmed the development. He explained that while the rates of government Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) were already lower, Nayara--as a private sector company--had previously been charging Rs 5 more per litre for petrol and Rs 3 more per litre for diesel. However, with the latest corporate revision, those premiums have been eliminated.

"The rates of our government OMCs were already lower, but because we are in the private sector, our rates were ₹5 higher on petrol and ₹3 higher on diesel. However, since the company has revised the rates again, petrol has now become ₹5 cheaper and diesel has become ₹3 cheaper. This price cut has already come into effect starting today, July 1, 2026," Yadav told ANI.

The price cut has brought immediate relief to consumers at the pumps.

"Thank you very much for the 5-rupee price drop at Nayara petrol pumps. This has brought us a lot of relief and convenience. Thank you to the Nayara company for this," a local consumer told ANI while refuelling.

Another motorist echoed the sentiment, saying, "At Nayara petrol pumps, diesel has become 3 rupees cheaper, and petrol has become 5 rupees cheaper. This has brought us a lot of relief."

Earlier in the day, the oil marketing companies reduced the price of 19-kg commercial LPG cylinders, slashing the retail price in Delhi to Rs 2,930 per cylinder.

Prices have been reduced by Rs 183.50, effective July 1. In addition to the cut in commercial LPG rates, oil marketing companies have also lowered the price of the 5-kg Free Trade LPG (FTL) cylinder by Rs 13. Following the revision, the retail price of a 5-kg FTL cylinder in Delhi now stands at Rs 808.50, sources said.

Good move by Nayara but why were they charging ₹5 more than government OMCs in the first place? Private players should not exploit us when global prices are high and then act generous when they come down. Still, I'll take this cut happily. Bahut din baad kuch accha sunne ko mila! 🙏

Ye to achchi khabar hai! Petrol ₹5 sasta and diesel ₹3 sasta - my auto-rickshaw running cost will come down. But I wonder if this is just temporary before elections. Hope the government also reduces taxes to make fuel permanently affordable. Common aadmi ki jeb mein kuch bachna chahiye.

As someone who drives 40 km daily for work, this is a game changer. I was spending nearly ₹12,000 on petrol every month. Now at least ₹500-600 will stay in my pocket. But why does the article mention '2026'? Bhai, ye date galat hai ya time travel ho gaya? 😂 Let's enjoy the price cut while it lasts.

Nayara ka ye step welcome hai but I want to point out that their fuel quality is often debated in my circle. Some say it's not as good as IOCL or BPCL. If they are matching prices now, they should also match quality. Still, less money spent on fuel means more for my daughter's school fees. 👍

Every time fuel prices drop, I feel like I've gotten a bonus! This price cut along with the LPG cylinder reduction is really helping household budgets. But the bigger picture is that we need sustainable long-term solutions like better public transport and electric vehicles. Still, khaali
