Shashi Kapoor was a legend of a different era. So much grace and talent. And Kishore Kumar's voice in that song is pure magic. Good to see the younger generation appreciating these classics on shows like Indian Idol.

While the emotional moment is touching, I sometimes feel these reality shows overly dramatize personal stories for TRPs. The focus should remain on the contestant's performance. Abhishek sang well, that itself is the story.

"Aa Gale Lag Jaa" is such an underrated gem! Shashi Kapoor and Sharmila Tagore had fantastic chemistry. This article makes me want to go and watch the movie again. The songs from that era had soul.

It's lovely to see judges being vulnerable. We always see them as strict critics, but they are people with their own histories and emotions. More power to Geeta ma'am. And hats off to Abhishek for evoking such a pure reaction.
