Vancouver, June 27

New Zealand and Belgium face a high-pressure Group G encounter in Vancouver on Friday, with both teams needing a victory to boost their chances of reaching the FIFA World Cup 2026 round of 32.

Belgium head into the contest after consecutive draws against Egypt and Iran, while New Zealand have collected just one point from their opening two matches following a draw with Iran and a defeat to Egypt. Anything less than a win could leave both sides relying on other results to keep their qualification hopes alive.

Belgium will be looking for a sharper attacking display after struggling to convert possession into goals so far in the tournament. Experienced stars such as Kevin De Bruyne, Doku, and Charles De Ketelaere are expected to play key roles against a New Zealand side likely to adopt a physical approach and disrupt their rhythm.

With a knockout qualification at stake, both teams have little room for error in what promises to be a fiercely contested clash.

How to watch Belgium vs New Zealand live in India:

Live streaming and live telecast of the FIFA World Cup 2026 football matches will be available on the Zee5 platform and app in India. A subscription will be needed.

8:30 AM IST timing is actually great for us Indian fans! We can catch the match with morning chai. Really hope Belgium steps up their finishing - they have world-class players like Doku and Lukaku, but need to convert that possession into goals. New Zealand's physical style could make it tricky though.

As a neutral fan, I'm rooting for New Zealand here. They've been the underdogs for too long. Chris Wood up front could cause problems for that Belgian defense. Let's see if they can pull off an upset! 🏆

I'm slightly disappointed that the live telecast is only on Unite8 Sports channels. Would have loved it on a more accessible platform like Sony or Star Sports. But at least Zee5 has streaming, so can watch on mobile during commute. Hope Belgium doesn't disappoint with their golden generation! 💛

This is going to be a cracker of a match! Both teams desperate for points, Belgium's experience vs New Zealand's physicality. But honestly, I think Belgium's individual quality will prevail - De Bruyne, Tielemans, and Lukaku are too good to be kept quiet for long. Scoring early will be key. Just hope the referee handles it well with all the intensity expected at BC Place.
