FIFA WC: When and where to watch Canada vs Qatar; know all details

Los Angeles, June 18

Canada and Qatar meet at BC Place in Vancouver, with both teams chasing a landmark first-ever FIFA World Cup victory. After opening their Group B campaigns with 1-1 draws, three points could prove crucial in the battle for a place in the knockout rounds.

Canada will feel it left points on the table against Bosnia & Herzegovina after creating the better opportunities but failing to convert them. Jesse Marsch's side showed plenty of attacking intent, and with the likes of Jonathan David, Cyle Larin and Promise David leading the line, they will back themselves to be far more clinical this time around.

Qatar, meanwhile, earned a hard-fought draw against Switzerland but spent long periods under pressure. The Asian champions will need a more complete performance if they are to trouble a confident Canadian outfit.

Playing on home soil once again, Canada will have the backing of a packed Vancouver crowd, and that advantage could make a decisive difference. With momentum and qualification at stake, the co-hosts enter the contest as favourites to claim a historic first World Cup win.

I'm a bit skeptical about Canada being clear favourites here. Qatar are the Asian champions for a reason - they have tournament experience and Akram Afif can be dangerous on his day. The home crowd will help Canada, but I think this could be closer than people expect. Still, hoping for a good game!

Finally some football content! India's own streaming on Zee5 and Unite8 channels - that's great accessibility. I just hope they don't have too many ad breaks like during other matches. Canada vs Qatar at 3:30 AM is doable on a Friday since no work next day. Will be watching with my chai and paratha! 😄

Respect to both teams for their opening draws - Canada against Bosnia and Qatar against Switzerland are decent results. But I think Canada's depth and home advantage will be too much for Qatar. The Canadian squad has more players in top European leagues. Expecting a 2-0 win for Canada. Also nice to see refereeing details being shared!

I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed with the coverage. Why do we always get these late-night matches? 3:30 AM IST is brutal for Indian fans. Also, why no mention of the Indian football team's development when discussing global tournaments? We need more grassroots focus. Anyway, best of luck to both teams - may the better side win.
