As a Bengali, I'm happy to see Koel Mallick's nomination. Our film industry needs representation at the national level. But I hope she focuses on serious policy issues, not just glamour.

Rajya Sabha should be for experienced people who can contribute to law-making. While I respect all nominees, I hope this isn't just about rewarding loyalty. The Upper House needs quality debates on national issues.

Babul Supriyo has experience as a Union Minister. That should help West Bengal's representation. Let's see if he can deliver on his IT portfolio for the state and now at the Centre.

Menaka Guruswamy is an excellent choice. Her work on constitutional matters is well-known. More such experts in Rajya Sabha can improve the quality of legislation. 👍
