Honestly, the show is too dark and glorifies destructive behavior. Not sure if exploring "faith" after two seasons of chaos will feel authentic. Hope the writing is more responsible this time. Our youth don't need more negative influences.
The guest star list is insane! Sharon Stone? Natasha Lyonne? HBO is not playing around. But the core story needs to stay strong. Rue's journey with belief in God sounds like a powerful arc if done right.
As someone who watched with my cousins here in Mumbai, the show's aesthetic is unmatched. But the content is very heavy. The shift to adulthood themes might make it more relatable for us in our 20s navigating careers and life.
The trailer looks slick as expected. Hoping for less shock value and more substance this season. The "dangerous business" plot needs to be handled carefully. Zendaya's performance is the only reason I'm coming back, yaar.
Interesting they are tackling faith. In India, we grow up with so many spiritual concepts around us. Will be curious to see a Western show's take on it. Hope it's respectful and not just a plot device. 🤔
