Ellie Goulding teases 6th studio album, to release soon

Los Angeles, May 25

Singer-songwriter Ellie Goulding is all set to release her sixth studio album. The 39-year-old singer has not released an LP since 2023's 'Higher Than Heaven'.

But now, Ellie has teased that her next release will come "soon", reports 'Female First UK'.

She told The Sun, "I've spent the past few years working really closely with a brilliantly talented producer and multi-instrumentalist called Jack Rochon. I actually found him on TikTok when he was still relatively undiscovered, living in Canada".

She further mentioned, "He's since moved to Los Angeles and worked with Beyonce. I immediately connected with what he was doing creatively. I have always loved discovering emerging talent and championing new voices, just like I did when I first started out and discovered Starsmith. We've recorded hundreds of songs together, and I loved the freedom of exploring different sounds, feelings, thoughts, and experiences. It felt really organic and honest, like journaling through music".

As per 'Female First UK', the 'Anything Can Happen' hitmaker has just debuted her single, 'Black Prada Dress' recently in North East England.

Talking about the track, Ellie said, "There's not one definitive experience that inspired it. It's directed at that negative, critical voice bringing you down. And that voice could be your own, internal voice, that self-critical, destructive one. I feel like we all have one of those, just like we have different versions of ourselves. I love the honesty of it, the rawness, and I hope people can connect to it in their own way".

The chart-topping artist's forthcoming record addresses her separation from ex-husband Caspar Jopling in 2024 after five years of marriage. And Ellie, who has son Arthur, four, with Jopling, never expected to release a "divorce album".

Okay but 'divorce album' sounds like it could be her most honest work yet. Sometimes heartbreak brings out the best art—just listen to Adele's 21! Hope Ellie's music helps her heal and connects with fans who've been through similar stuff. Also, 'Black Prada Dress' is such an intriguing title! 🎤✨

Wait, is this going to be like a full-on breakup album? Not that I'm complaining—Ellie's voice can make even sad topics sound beautiful. But I hope she doesn't go too dark. 'Lights' was my jam back in college, so I'm keeping faith! 🤞

Honestly, I'm a bit tired of album announcements with no release date. 'Coming soon' could mean anything from next week to next year. But Ellie has always delivered quality, so I'll be patient. Just hope the new sound isn't too experimental—I like her synth-pop roots! 🎶

The way she talks about journaling through music and discovering new talent—that's real artistry. Not many artists her level would go out of their way to champion an unknown producer from TikTok. And 100s of songs? That's insane dedication. Ellie Goulding is a class act, plain and simple! 👏🔥

Bro, I just hope this album has at least one song that makes me feel like 'Love Me Like You Do' did. That track was perfection. Now with all this emotional depth from her divorce, maybe we'll get something even more powerful. Fingers crossed for a tour in India too!
