That's two big ones in SE Asia this month. Philippines was just last week. Global tectonic activity seems to be picking up. Hope their disaster response is well prepared.

Indonesia is like a brother nation to us, always in the same seismic belt. Glad they acted quickly to evacuate coastal areas. Tsunami warnings need to be taken seriously always.

Depth of 45 km is moderate, but 6.8 is still serious. Infrastructure in Palu area might be vulnerable after the 2018 tsunami. Hope assessment teams are quick.

Our thoughts are with Indonesia. I recall the 2004 tsunami that hit both our countries. We must learn from each other's disaster management systems. Stay strong, neighbours!
