The NCS data is very precise, which is good. But I wish there was a simpler public alert system on phones for even small tremors, especially in hilly states like Arunachal. People get scared.
Magnitude 3.1 at 10 km depth is usually not felt much. The real concern is the frequency. This is the second one reported in Arunachal in recent months. Is the tectonic activity increasing? Authorities should study this pattern.
I'm visiting India and didn't realize the northeast was so quake-prone. The article is informative but could add a line about safety measures for tourists in these areas. Stay safe, everyone.
Good that no damage is reported. Jai Hind to our people in Arunachal! 🇮🇳 These frontier states face many natural challenges. The government must ensure building codes there are strictly earthquake-resistant.
With respect, while reporting the coordinates is technically correct, this article feels like just a data dump. It misses the human angle. Were locals worried? Did the district administration issue any advisories? That context is important.
