Dwayne Johnson's greatest advice to young kids: You got to have fun in the moment
Los Angeles, June 29
Hollywood actor Dwayne Johnson, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film 'Moana', recently met a few kids during the press tour of the film.
On Monday, the actor took to his Instagram, and shared a video of himself interacting with school kids.
One of the kids told him, "I actually love school. I just don't like the fact that they don't believe I'm meeting you right now".
The actor said, "No one believes it, but they're going to believe it now. Well, this is not AI. This is like real stuff".
Another kid asked him what advice he would like to give to children. Responding to the same, he said, "To have fun. And that's important. Do you guys like having fun? Alright, make sure, because life is crazy, right? Yes, we're having fun right now. You got to have fun in the moment, right? You're having fun right now. Life is nuts".
Meanwhile, 'Moana' is the live-action reimagining of the 2016 animated hit, bringing back the oceanic adventure of Moana and the demigod Maui for a new generation. The film is helmed by Thomas Kail, and stars Catherine Lagaʻaia as Moana and Dwayne Johnson reprising his role as Maui. The story follows Moana, a young wayfinder from Motunui, who ventures beyond her island's reef after answering the call of the ocean, embarking on a journey to restore balance to her people.
The film carries the challenge of recreating the magic of a beloved animated classic. It is scheduled for theatrical release in July 10, 2026.

That kid's comment about "they don't believe I'm meeting you" is pure gold! These moments are priceless. Growing up in Mumbai, even a glimpse of a Bollywood star was a huge deal - meeting The Rock himself must feel like winning a lottery. He's right about life being nuts - we get so caught up in our jobs and responsibilities that we forget to just enjoy simple moments.
In our Indian parenting culture, we often stress so much on "future plans" and "career goals" that we forget to let children be children. Dwayne Johnson's message is exactly what we need to hear. But I wish he had also said something about the importance of hard work alongside having fun - our kids need both! Still, love his positive energy ❤️
Okay, is no one going to mention how crazy it is that Moana is getting a live-action remake in 2026?! The Rock as Maui again - that's going to be massive in India too! My daughter loved the animated version. And honestly, his advice is spot-on - kids in our coaching-obsessed system need more fun. Weekend outings, sports, family time - that's real learning!
"This is not AI. This is like real stuff" - haha! Even the kids are aware of deepfakes and AI now. Smart parents raising smart kids. But honestly, Dwyane's message about living in the moment is universal advice - whether you're in Hollywood or Hyderabad. We worry too much about what might happen and miss what's happening right now.
