Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson Tie the Knot in Palm Beach

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson have legally married, filing their certificate in Palm Beach, Florida. The couple plans an intimate celebration on a private island in the Bahamas. President Donald Trump may skip the event due to the ongoing conflict in Iran. The marriage follows a year-long relationship and Anderson's bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago.

Donald Trump Jr. and Bettina Anderson are officially married, with their marriage certificate filed in Palm Beach, Florida, ahead of their planned wedding celebration in the Bahamas.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, the couple legally tied the knot on Thursday. The filing reportedly shows that the Trump family's real estate attorney, Brad McPherson, officiated the ceremony.

The legal ceremony comes just days before the couple is expected to host an intimate wedding celebration on a private island in the Bahamas. Earlier this week, Page Six reported that Anderson, 39, and Donald Trump Jr., 48, had been preparing for a private gathering with close family members and friends.

It remains unclear whether Donald Trump will attend the Bahamas celebration. Speaking to reporters on Thursday, the US President reportedly said it was "not good timing" because of the war in Iran, but added that he would "try to make it."

"If I do attend, I get killed. If I don't attend, I get killed," he said, as quoted by Page Six.

Sources previously told Page Six that the couple had considered delaying their wedding celebrations because of the political climate and ongoing conflict.

"They're very aware that a lavish wedding at the White House while people are dying wouldn't be well-received," an insider told Page Six, adding, "Especially after the state dinner for King Charles, it would be too much pomp and circumstance."

The insider further stated that Donald Trump Jr. remained supportive of the pre-wedding celebrations and wanted to publicly express his affection for Anderson.

"Don was fully supportive of the bridal shower and the bachelorette party, he wants everyone to know he adores her and that they plan to get married. But they want to make sure the timing is right politically before actually setting a date," the source told Page Six.

Earlier in April, Anderson celebrated her bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago with an "enchanted garden" themed event attended by several members of the Trump family, including Ivanka Trump, Arabella Kushner, Lara Trump and Tiffany Trump.

Donald Trump Jr. reportedly proposed to Anderson on December 13 after the couple had dated for nearly a year. According to a source cited by Page Six, the pair had travelled to Camp David to celebrate Anderson's 39th birthday before the proposal took place the following day.

"No one was surprised, but everyone is excited for the happy couple," the source said.

Donald Trump Jr. was previously married to Vanessa Trump, with whom he shares five children. Vanessa Trump is currently reported to be dating professional golfer Tiger Woods.

Page Six had earlier reported that Vanessa "fully approves" of Donald Trump Jr. and Anderson's relationship.

The way they're worried about "pomp and circumstance" while people are dying in war... that's something we can relate to in India too. Remember when our politicians had lavish weddings during COVID? The hypocrisy is universal, I guess. 🤷‍♀️

Trump saying "if I attend, I get killed; if I don't, I get killed" - that's a classic politician's dilemma 😂. Reminds me of our netas who always say "mujhe kya pata" when asked about controversial events.

The fact that Vanessa (ex-wife) "fully approves" and is now dating Tiger Woods... that's some drama worthy of a Bollywood movie! 😂 Our Indian saas-bahu serials have nothing on this family's real life.

Props to them for trying to be sensitive about timing, but honestly, a private island celebration during wartime still feels tone-deaf. As we say in India, "nakhre to ameer log hi kar sakte hain" (only rich people can afford to be picky).

The bridal shower at Mar-a-Lago with "enchanted garden" theme sounds straight out of a fairy tale! 🌸 But then the reality check about war and timing... reminds me how even the richest families can't escape world events. Humble hai (it's humbling).
