DLF's Q1 revenue slumps 53 pc to Rs 1,280 crore
Mumbai, Aug 3
Real estate major DLF Limited reported a 52.9 per cent year-on-year to Rs 1,280 crore during the quarter, against Rs 2,717 crore in the year-ago period.
The real estate major reported a 4.1 per cent year-on-year increase in consolidated net profit to Rs 794 crore for the first quarter of FY27, compared with Rs 763 crore in the corresponding period last year, according to the company's exchange filing.
The decline in topline also weighed on operating performance. Earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) dropped 58.9 per cent to Rs 150 crore from Rs 364 crore a year earlier.
EBITDA margin contracted to 11.7 per cent during the quarter from 13.4 per cent in the same period last financial year.
Despite the weak operational performance, DLF shares ended higher on Monday. The stock settled 1.40 per cent higher at Rs 668.55 on the NSE, slightly underperforming the Nifty index, which gained 1.60 per cent.
The stock opened at Rs 668.25 against its previous close of Rs 659.30 and traded in a range of Rs 660.60 to Rs 670.90 during the session.
Over the past one year, DLF shares have touched a 52-week high of Rs 798.80 and a 52-week low of Rs 489.40. The stock remains down 14 per cent on a year-on-year basis.
DLF currently commands a market capitalisation of Rs 1.94 lakh crore, while its price-to-earnings (P/E) ratio stands at 92.11.
Addressing the 61st annual general meeting (AGM), chairman Rajiv Singh said that our development and annuity businesses continue to focus on growth and expansion in their respective areas of operations.
"We remain confident of achieving our business goals, while maintaining a cautious eye on the overall macroeconomic developments," he said.
"Under the visionary leadership of our Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Indian economy has maintained stability through intense global turbulence. Today, India continues to shine brightly as a resilient beacon of growth on the world stage," Singh added.

DLF ka stock still up despite bad numbers? This is classic Indian market behavior – sentiment over fundamentals. But honestly, with P/E at 92, the valuation is way too stretched for a real estate company. Bechare retail investors! 😕
Chairman sahab ne Modi ji ka zikr karke focus hata diya. But let's talk real issues – EBITDA margin down, revenue down, yet stock up. This is why I stay away from Indian real estate stocks. Too much speculation, too little transparency. 🤔
As someone who's been tracking DLF for years, this is concerning. The luxury housing segment is slowing down, and their office rental business isn't picking up enough. Hope the management has a solid plan for the next quarters, otherwise investors will be in trouble. 📊
Interesting how the stock market just shrugged off these numbers. The resilience of Indian equities always surprises me. But is this actually healthy? We might be setting up for a bigger correction if the next few quarters don't improve. Fingers crossed for the Indian economy! 🙏
DLF needs to innovate. The real estate sector isn't just about selling apartments anymore – co-living, warehousing, data centers, all these are the future. If they don't adapt, they'll keep falling behind. The chairman's speech felt like old wine in a new bottle. 🍷
