Mumbai, April 2

Television superstar Divyanka Tripathi Dahiya has opened up about practising 'Garbha Sanskar ' at home, sharing how she has been consciously connecting with her unborn child through positive thoughts, conversations and music.

Speaking about her experience, Divyanka said, "People have talked a lot about Garbh Sanskar, and I honestly don't know if it works or not. I don't know if it gives something or not."

She added, "But I always feel that if someone is telling us to do something good, like speaking positively, giving good values, listening to the right kind of music, watching good content, and being in good company, and if that helps the growth of the child, then all these things are good, so why not adopt them?"

"Have been telling my baby to always be good to others and be very, very respectful. Whatever it is, first of all, you have to give respect and love to people," the actress revealed.

"I feel that I do get a response," she added.

Divyanka believes that such soft and positive interactions are part of Garbha Sanskar , a traditional practice that focuses on nurturing a baby's emotional and mental well-being in the womb.

On March 19, on the occasion of Gudi Padwa, Divyanka and her husband Vivek Dahiya announced their pregnancy through a social media post on their social media accounts through a joint post.

The couple is set to welcome their first child after 11 years of marriage.

Divyanka and Vivek met on the sets of their television show Yeh Hai Mohabbatein, where the actress essayed the role of Ishita and Vivek played ACP Abhishek.

Their on-screen association soon turned into a real-life romance, and the two tied the knot in 2016.

Her approach is very practical. She's not blindly following it but taking the positive aspects - good thoughts, good music, good company. That's just sensible parenting even before the baby arrives. More power to her!

While I respect her choice, I hope this doesn't put pressure on other expecting mothers. Not everyone has the time or mental space for such practices, and that's okay too. The most important thing is a healthy mother and baby.

"I feel that I do get a response" – this line is everything! 💖 That connection a mother feels is so real. My didi also used to talk to her baby and play shlokas. It's a peaceful practice. Congrats to the couple after 11 years!

Good for her. Whether it's Garbha Sanskar or just general positivity, it can't hurt. At the end of the day, a stress-free, happy mother is what creates the best environment. The science on prenatal influence is still evolving, but her heart is in the right place.
