Finally a sensible appointment! Our ties with Bangladesh need someone who understands both politics and diplomacy. Hope he handles the border issues with sensitivity.
But why this political appointment? We need career diplomats who understand the nuances of Bangladesh-India relations. Trivedi's railway and health experience don't exactly scream foreign expertise. 😕
Important role at a crucial time. With Bangladesh facing political changes and our shared border issues, hope Trivediji works on better trade connectivity and water sharing agreements. Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
Interesting that he met with the Army Chief before taking charge. Defence cooperation with Bangladesh is vital for our eastern security. Hope he also focuses on cultural and people-to-people ties - Bangla bond is special! 💙
