Dheeraj Dhoopar gets emotional as he recalls how his son became his 'whole life'
Mumbai, Aug 10
Television actor Dheeraj Dhoopar penned a heartfelt birthday note for his son Zayn, expressing the deep bond they share.
In his heartwarming post, the 'Lock Upp 2' actor described how the little one has become an integral part of his life. Dheeraj recalled how his son went from being his "little baby" to his "little buddy" and eventually his "best friend" and "whole life." He shared that having his son around makes everything feel better. Sharing their sweet video, Dheeraj wrote, "Happy birthday, my boy. I don't even know where to begin because no words will ever be enough to tell you how much I love you. Tu hai na yaar, toh sab kuch theek hai. Bas tu paas hota hai, tu mujhe hug karta hai, and suddenly everything feels good again. Everything feels fine. Tere bagair toh main yeh life soch bhi nahi sakta. You are my strength. You are my love. You are my happiness. You are the best part of me."
The 'Kundali Bhagya' actor added, "How much I love you, my words and my actions can never justify. You are literally a piece of my heart walking around outside my body. And I hope you always, always know one thing - Papa is super, super, SUPER proud of you. For everything you are and everything you will become. I'll always be right here, standing beside you, cheering the loudest for you."
The post further read, "And when you sleep na, I genuinely want to wake you up. Mama keeps shouting, "Let the boy sleep!" But kya karoon yaar... main bore ho jaata hoon tere bina. Who am I supposed to talk to? Who am I supposed to trouble?.
"You started as my little baby, then you became my little buddy, then my best friend... and somewhere along the way, you became my whole life. I love you the most, boy. I love you the most, baby. I love you more than I could ever put into words. Happy birthday, my jaan. Papa loves you. Today, tomorrow, forever and beyond."
The video featured the father-son duo making goofy expressions while recording a video. Dheeraj also added Aditya Narayan's song 'Akele Hum Akele Tum' to the clip.
Dheeraj Dhoopar and Vinny Arora are parents to a son, Zayn. The couple welcomed their first child on August 10, 2022.

Hindi mein likhna bhi isko emotional touch de deta hai. "Tu hai na yaar, toh sab kuch theek hai" - ye line dil ko chhoo gayi. It's rare to see fathers express such vulnerability. Respect to Dheeraj for normalizing emotional parenting for dads. 💙
The way he talks about wanting to wake his sleeping son just because he's bored without him... that's the most adorable thing I've read all week! 😭 Zayn is lucky to have such a loving papa. The Aditya Narayan song choice in the background was perfect too.
This is sweet, but I feel like celebrities make these posts a bit too performative sometimes. No doubt he loves his son, but sharing every personal detail for public consumption feels a little excessive. Just my opinion though.
TV actors get so underrated when it comes to parenting content. Dheeraj's bond with Zayn is goals, honestly. The way he switches between Hindi and English shows how natural and heartfelt this is. Happy birthday Zayn! 🎈🎉
As someone who grew up with a traditional Indian father who never expressed emotions openly, seeing this new generation of dads is so refreshing. This is the kind of healthy masculinity our society needs. God bless this family!
