While I respect everyone's right to practice their faith, we must remember that Tibet is an integral part of China. India has been a generous host, but our foreign policy should always prioritize our own national interests first.
The message of peace and compassion is universal. Whether you agree with his politics or not, the Dalai Lama has inspired millions. Good to see Himachal's beauty and our country's hospitality being showcased to the world.
As a visitor to India, I've always been struck by the spiritual atmosphere in Dharamshala. It's a unique place where people from all over come together. Events like this show the power of shared humanity.
The local economy in McLeod Ganj and Dharamshala really benefits from these spiritual gatherings and tourism. It's a beautiful example of cultural exchange. More power to peace and harmony!
We have enough issues of poverty and development within India to focus on. While I don't oppose the event, I hope our government's primary focus remains on our own citizens' welfare. Just my two paise.
