Delhi BJP chief Harsh Malhotra to train party workers in Chandni Chowk
New Delhi, May 30
Delhi BJP President Harsh Malhotra on Saturday accepted Chandni Chowk MP Praveen Khandelwal's invitation to address a session at the Pandit Deendayal Upadhyay Maha Prashikshan Abhiyan in the Keshavpuram and Chandni Chowk party districts that fall within the latter's parliamentary constituency.
A Delhi BJP Media official said that Malhotra accepted Khandelwal's invitation to interact with party workers at one of the sessions.
The training campaign in Chandni Chowk is a part of the party's Mega Training Campaign to cover all 256 Mandals in the city and nurture the ideology of cultural nationalism and integral humanism among workers.
In another development, Khandelwal inaugurated an exhibition on the BJP's progress journey from 1980 to the present and the achievements of the Central and Delhi governments, organised at the Chandni Chowk Mahaprashikshan Abhiyan camp site.
The inauguration ceremony was also attended by BJP's Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal, District President Arvind Garg and senior workers.
Delhi BJP Organisation General Secretary Pawan Rana inaugurated the training camp of the BJP Chandni Chowk district by lighting the lamp.
A party leader said that through this mega training campaign, the BJP aims to prepare more than 1,00,000 trained workers.
"They (BJP workers) are being trained in ideological foundations, party history and development, organisational functioning, expansion strategies, booth management, achievements of Central and state governments, and the use of social media and AI," he said.
In March, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta also attended a training camp for Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers at her home mandal, Shalimar Bagh, for two hours and encouraged party workers to make the most of the organisational initiative
In the same month, Malhotra addressed the Madanpur Khadar West Mandal; BJP MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri addressed Kalkaji Mandal; MP Yogendra Chandolia addressed Swaroop Nagar, Nangloi, and Dev Nagar mandals; MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat addressed Roshanpura and Dichaukalan mandals; State General Secretary Vishnu Mittal addressed Paharganj; MP Praveen Khandelwal addressed Ballimaran, Kohat, and Kudesia Nagar wards, and Minister Ashish Sood addressed sessions in Janakpuri.

Training in ideology and organisational functioning is fine, but what about addressing the real issues of common people like inflation, unemployment, and pollution? Just training workers won't solve problems unless the party has a concrete action plan.
Chandni Chowk has a rich history and it's good to see the BJP investing time in training workers there. But I hope they focus on inclusive development that benefits all communities, not just a select few. The exhibition on achievements should be open to everyone to see.
Training 1 lakh workers is no small feat! This shows the BJP's commitment to building a strong cadre base. The inclusion of AI and social media training shows they are adapting to modern times. Well done, Harsh Malhotra and team. 👏👏
I appreciate the effort to train workers on party history and ideology, but let's not forget that democracy thrives on healthy debate. Instead of just teaching cultural nationalism, they should also train workers to listen to people's grievances and work for everyone, irrespective of political affiliation.
Seeing so many MPs and ministers personally attending these training camps is impressive. It shows that the BJP is serious about strengthening its organisation in Delhi. Let's see if this grassroots training helps them connect better with the common man in Chandni Chowk.
