Actor Anupam Kher met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, with whom he indulged in a long, insightful conversation on culture, cinema, society and more.
Kher shared pictures from the meeting on his Instagram handle and wrote, "I had the privilege of meeting India's Hon'ble Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah ji, at his residence. I am deeply grateful for his affection, warm hospitality, and the sense of belonging he extended. We engaged in a long and highly meaningful conversation covering various topics--ranging from the nation, society, and culture to cinema and life itself. His deep grasp of subjects, remarkable memory, and clarity of thought are truly inspiring. Every meeting with such a personality offers an opportunity to learn and think in new ways."
The actor also expressed gratitude and further added, "Your time, your affection, and the idol of Lord Hanuman--seated right where I was sitting--will always remain etched in my memory. Thank you very much."
In the pictures, Anupam Kher could be seen in a conversation with the Union Minister, followed by another one where he honoured Amit Shah in a thoughtful gesture.
On the professional front, Anupam Kher recently announced the completion of shooting for his upcoming film 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya', directed by Sooraj Barjatya.
Backed by Rajshri Productions in association with Mahaveer Jain Films, 'Yeh Prem Mol Liya' stars Ayushmann Khurrana and Sharvari in the lead roles and is slated for a post-Diwali theatrical release.
He also has the much-awaited 'Khosla Ka Ghosla' sequel in the pipeline.
The comedy sequel is scheduled for a theatrical release on August 28, during the Raksha Bandhan weekend.
The sequel brings back Ranvir Shorey, Kiran Juneja and Parvinn Dabass, who portrayed members of the Khosla family in the original film. Tara Sharma, who was also part of the 2006 film, has joined the cast for the upcoming sequel.
