Deepika Singh gives an impromptu performance on 'Satyam Shivam Sundaram': Just a feeling
Mumbai, June 6
Popular television actress Deepika Singh, who is seen playing Mangal in the show, "Mangal Lakshmi", gave an impromptu classical performance on the title track from the movie "Satyam Shivam Sundaram".
Deepika, a trained Odissi dancer, dropped a video of herself winning hearts with her graceful moves. Her perfect attire with a saree, traditional jewellery, and gajra definitely added to the charm.
In the caption, the 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' actress revealed that she choreographed the dance on the spot and performed from the heart without any rehearsals.
"This wasn't planned...No rehearsal. Just a feeling. Shot before changing for my next look. Satyam Shivam Sundaram was playing, the attire felt right, and I knew if I waited to "perfect it" - I wouldn't do it at all. So I choreographed it on the spot. Danced it the minute I made it. Imperfect. Impromptu. Mine. Enjoy the vibe (sic)," read the post.
Aside from being an accomplished actress, Deepika is also a doting mother to her son, Soham.
This Mother's Day, she decided to reflect on this transformative journey of her life.
She said, "Motherhood continues to be the most transformative journey of my life - one that keeps evolving with every passing day. As an actor, I've portrayed many roles on screen, but being a mother to my son, Soham, is my ultimate calling; it's truly the role of a lifetime. He has this beautiful way of reminding me to slow down and cherish the little moments that matter."
Deepika added that she wants her son to know this version of her as a working mother.
"When children see their mothers working, they learn early on that ambition requires dedication and that a woman's identity is multifaceted", she went on to add.
Deepika tied the knot with Rohit Raj Goyal on 2 May 2014, and in May 2017, the couple welcomed their first child, a son.

Beautiful! The saree, the gajra, the classical moves - it's refreshing to see an actress embrace our cultural roots like this. Many stars these days just do flashy Western stuff. Deepika is keeping Indian traditions alive on screen. And that caption about imperfection is so honest - we need more of this realness in social media.
Impromtu classical performance on Satyam Shivam Sundaram - brings back memories of Zeenat Aman's iconic version! Deepika's grace is commendable, but I wish more TV actors would pursue serious classical training rather than just dance for reels. Still, respect for the effort and the message about motherhood. 👏
As someone who's not Indian, I find this so fascinating! The traditional attire, the classical dance form, the whole aesthetic is beautiful. And what a powerful message about women pursuing careers while raising children - that's universal. Deepika seems like a wonderful role model. 🇮🇳
Honestly, I was a bit skeptical when I read 'impromptu classical performance' - but she actually nailed it! The choreography on the spot is impressive. But let's be real: this is a promotional tactic for her show 'Mangal Lakshmi'. Still, quality content is quality content. Bollywood should take notes on how to do graceful social media posts. 😄
The way she spoke about wanting her son to see her as a working mother - that touched my heart. So many Indian women face judgment for working after having kids. Deepika is showing that you can be both a devoted mother
