Interesting to see Mausam Noor on the list after joining from TMC. Congress is definitely trying to poach disgruntled leaders. Hope this strategy works and brings in some fresh energy. Bengal needs a strong opposition voice.

284 candidates for 294 seats? That's almost a full slate. Shows they are serious about contesting. But let's be honest, in many constituencies they will just split the anti-TMC vote and help the BJP. The 'third front' experiment has rarely worked in our FPTP system.

As an observer, the two-phase polling schedule seems very well planned by the ECI. Gives enough time for nominations and campaigning. Hope the focus remains on local issues like development and employment in Bengal, not just national narratives.

With due respect, Congress needs to do more than just release lists. Where is the ground-level momentum? In Bengal, it's a direct fight between Didi and the BJP. Congress-Left alliance feels like an afterthought. They need a powerful local face and a clear vision for the state.

Good mix of candidates from different regions - Darjeeling, Malda, Asansol, Diamond Harbour. Hope they talk about women's safety and education. Bengal elections are always so high-decibel! Let's see if issues win over rhetoric this time. 👍
