Tamil Nadu Chief Minister and Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam supremo MK Stalin on Sunday unveiled the party's manifesto for the upcoming state assembly elections, announcing key welfare measures including the expansion of the breakfast scheme and enhancement of the Kalaignar Magalir Urimai Thittam, under which financial assistance will be increased to Rs 2,000 for women.

Increasing the women's financial assistance to ₹2000 is a significant step for household economies. My mother is a beneficiary and this will greatly help with daily expenses. DMK's focus on welfare is commendable.

While the welfare schemes sound good on paper, the real test is implementation and fiscal responsibility. Where is the money coming from? We need to see a clear economic roadmap alongside these promises.

As someone who has studied development models, Tamil Nadu's focus on social welfare, especially for women and students, is indeed impressive. The 'Dravidian model' seems to be delivering tangible benefits.

Free pump sets for farmers is a welcome announcement. The agricultural sector needs such support. Hope the distribution is transparent and reaches the actual small farmers who need it the most. 🤞

The increase in old-age pension and disability pension is a humane and necessary policy. It shows care for the vulnerable sections of society. Other states should take note.
