Charlie Puth cancels Orlando show over health issues, says "I am so devastated to do this"
Los Angeles, June 7
Singer Charlie Puth has cancelled his upcoming Saturday show in Orlando, Florida, citing health issues.
In his Instagram story, Puth shared the news with fans, adding that he felt heartbroken.
"I am so devastated to do this, but I have to cancel tonight's show. I've been sick for the last few days and am being instructed to rest or else risk cancelling more dates on this tour. Performing for you all each night means everything to me, and you all deserve the best. I'm heartbroken, but I physically am unable to perform. Without a voice, I can't give you guys the show you all deserve," he wrote.
Puth went on to apologise to his fans, adding that it wasn't an easy decision for him.
"I'm so sorry, this was not an easy decision to make but I hope to see you all soon when I am well again," he wrote.
A four-time Grammy nominee, Charlie Puth is currently busy with his 'Whatever's Clever!" world tour. It kicked off on April 22 in San Diego and finishes on July 30 in Warsaw, Poland.
He is set to perform across the US on June 9 (Nashville), June 11 (Austin), June 12 (Irving), and June 13 (Houston).
The singer was recently in the headlines over joining an AI-backed music platform 'Moises' as its chief music officer.
"Every musician I know is using Moises, and I've been using it in my own creative process for years. It opens up possibilities that used to take hours or expensive studio setups, whether that's isolating vocals to study technique or experimenting with arrangements in real time. AI, when done right, isn't here to replace musicians. It's here to help artists learn, explore, and bring their ideas to life," Puth said in a statement.
In his new position, the singer will help guide creative and product direction, collaborate on artist-focused features and bring his experience as a working musician to the platform, which boasts more than 70 million users worldwide, as per Deadline.

Disappointed but not angry. I had tickets for the Orlando show, but hey, the guy is clearly struggling. His voice is his instrument, and pushing through sickness would just make it worse. Hope he takes the time he needs to recover fully. Looking forward to the rescheduled date!
Bro is literally joining an AI music platform as chief officer and cancelling shows? Thoda irony hai na? But honestly, I'm more interested in his Moises role. AI in music production is the future - Indian artists like AR Rahman are already using similar tools. Charlie Puth knows his stuff. Get well soon! 🤖🎶
I get that he's sick, but this is the second cancellation on this tour (he cancelled a show in May too, remember?). At some point, fans who've planned travel and hotel bookings start losing patience. Maybe he needs to schedule tours more realistically between album releases. Hope he's okay, but the frustration is real.
"Without a voice, I can't give you guys the show you all deserve" - this hit hard! As a singer myself, I know how frustrating throat infections can be. We Indians understand "voice rest" very well - our classical musicians take it super seriously. Hope he recovers soon. Charlie, we love you! 💔🎤
People forget that touring musicians have insane schedules. Flying every other day, different time zones, no sleep, bad food. Even athletes take rest days, but artists are expected to perform non-stop. His message seemed genuine - he literally said "heartbroken." Yeh sab validation ke liye nahi hai.
