Based on the inspection reports for the violations, closure of four units/projects, sealing of 27 DG sets, issuance of six orders/directions for compliance and imposition of Environmental Compensation (EC) in 17 cases have been proposed, said an official statement.

The ETF also reviewed actions taken pursuant to the 133rd ETF meeting and noted that all actionable cases pertaining to the industrial sector, C&D sector and DG sets have been acted upon by the agencies concerned.

Interesting to see how 31 out of 62 violations are from the industrial sector. As someone who moved to Gurgaon for work, I can tell you the air quality difference between summer and winter is night and day. These enforcement actions need to be year-round, not just a seasonal exercise.

Good to see action against DG sets - those things run day and night in our colony and it's suffocating! 😤 But 173 inspections and only 62 violations? Feels like many units are still getting away. The 1,802 closure directions so far is impressive, but we need more ground-level monitoring.

Arre yaar, these numbers show the problem is deep-rooted. 31 industrial violations in just 17 days? That's basic compliance! And only 1,424 resumption orders out of 1,802 closures means 378 units are still shut - who knows how many are running illegally anyway? Need stricter punishment to deter repeat offenders.

I'm from California but now living in Noida for work. I have to say, this level of inspection is actually quite impressive compared to what I've seen back home. The CAQM seems serious about enforcement. 27,750 units inspected cumulative - that's real oversight! Hoping to see more improvement this winter season.

24 violations from DG sets shows how much we rely on backup power thanks to our unreliable electricity supply. 😔 Instead of just penalising, why not fix the power situation so people don't need to run generators? Also, the C&D sites in UP and Haryana getting resumption orders - hope they actually follow
