The makers of 'Candy And The Pizza Ggirl' have unveiled the film's first-look posters, offering a striking, stylised glimpse into its edgy, wacky, and unpredictable world. The film will stream on Amazon Prime Video on April 10.

Marking the debut of Full Moon Studioz and director Akkhil Kapur in feature films, this 100-minute dark comedy promises a genre-bending cinematic experience that dives deep into Mumbai's frenetic nightlife. Set against the backdrop of a surreal, full-moon Saturday night, the story unfolds as a neon-lit carnival of chaos, where a series of domino-like misadventures intertwine the lives of an eccentric ensemble of characters, as per the press note by the makers.

Actress Priya Banerjee who plays one of the lead roles in the film shared the first-look posters of the movie on her Instagram handle on Thursday. Apart from her the movie also features Ninad Kamat, Shivani Singh, Dara Sandhu, Nimish Shitole and Aniket Sanghvi in the prominent roles.

"One night. Zero control..Bad decisions loading," wrote Priya Banerjee while sharing the post.

At the heart of the narrative lies a single catastrophic event that binds these characters together, setting off an unpredictable chain reaction filled with humor, suspense, and bizarre twists. Blending dark comedy with moments of tension and a distinctly offbeat tone, Candy And The Pizza Ggirl captures the eccentricities of Mumbai--the "Maximum City"--through a lens that is chaotic, playful, and emotionally charged, as per the press note.

On the film, Ninad Kamat said, "This film doesn't follow a conventional structure, it throws you right into the chaos and lets you experience it in real time. Every character is dealing with their own madness, and that energy feeds into the narrative. It's fast, quirky, and completely offbeat, which makes it a very exciting watch," as quoted in a press note.

Director Akkhil Kapur opened up about his vision behind the film saying that he wanted to "create a world that feels unpredictable, chaotic, and alive" in the movie which somehow relates to imagenery of Mumbai.

"With Candy And The Pizza Ggirl, I wanted to create a world that feels unpredictable, chaotic, and alive--much like Mumbai itself. It's a story about flawed, eccentric people colliding in one explosive night, where every choice spirals into something unexpected. A parallel reality ! The tone walks a fine line between madness, emotion and surrealism. That balance is what excited me the most," said Akkhil as quoted in a press note.

Presented by Elefante Blanco Pictures in association with India Film Factory, the film is produced by Poonam Kapur, Akkhil Kapur, Shiva Malani, Aaryaan Saxena, and Rajlakshmi Manas Barua under the Full Moon Studioz banner.

Finally, something different from the usual Bollywood masala. A dark comedy set in Mumbai's nightlife sounds fresh. Hoping the execution matches the interesting concept. All the best to the team!

The title is a bit confusing, I must say. "Pizza Ggirl"? Is that a typo or intentional? 😅 But the cast is good, and Ninad Kamat is always a reliable actor. Will give it a shot for sure.

As someone who loves Mumbai, I'm intrigued. The city has so many stories in its underbelly. A film that tries to capture its chaotic energy in one night is ambitious. Fingers crossed it's good.

Respectfully, I hope this isn't just style over substance. A lot of new directors get carried away with the "chaos" and "surreal" angle, and the story gets lost. The 100-minute runtime is a good sign though.

Priya Banerjee's caption "Bad decisions loading" is so relatable for a Mumbai Saturday night! 😂 Already added a reminder for April 10th. Our OTT platforms need more of these experimental stories.
