Brad Pitt-David Ayer thriller 'Heart Of The Beast' gets September 2026 release date
Washington, May 14
Paramount Pictures has officially set a theatrical release date for 'Heart Of The Beast', the upcoming survival thriller directed by David Ayer and starring Brad Pitt, JK Simmons and Anna Lambe.
The studio announced that the film will arrive in cinemas on September 25.
Written by Cameron Alexander, 'Heart Of The Beast' follows "a former Army Special Forces Soldier and his retired combat dog who battle for survival after a plane crash deep in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness," as per Deadline.
The film is set to face competition at the box office from Forgotten Island, a DreamWorks title featuring Dave Franco and Jenny Slate, along with a re-release of Marvel's 'Avengers: Endgame.'
The project marks a reunion between Pitt and Ayer for the first time since 'Fury', their 2014 World War II drama produced by Sony.
The release also comes after Pitt's appearance in the Oscar-nominated Apple film 'F1.'
Producers on 'Heart Of The Beast' include Olivia Hamilton, Marty Bowen, David Ayer and Brad Pitt.
Executive producers are Damien Chazelle, Scott Lumpkin, Cameron Alexander, Chris Long, Pete Chiappetta, Anthony Tittanegro, Andrew Lary, Sophie Cassidy and Zack Conroy.

I hope the dog doesn't get hurt! 🙁 These survival films can be really emotional. But Pitt is always great in these roles. And opposite Avengers: Endgame re-release? That's some heavy competition for a September release.
David Ayer can be hit or miss, but his best work (like Fury) is top-notch. The Alaska wilderness setting sounds fresh. Let's just hope the script doesn't get too cliché. Waiting for the trailer! 🍿
JK Simmons is a legend! Even in small roles, he leaves an impact. I'd watch this just for him and the dog. But honestly, the release date clash with Endgame re-release seems risky. Hope Paramount has some marketing tricks up their sleeve!
"Former Special Forces and his dog survive Alaska" – that's basically every survival film ever! 😅 But Brad Pitt adds star power, and I'll give Ayer another chance. Also, is Damien Chazelle an executive producer? That's interesting.
Why is the West so obsessed with war and survival? We have enough of that in real life, no? 😅 But okay, I'll probably watch it for the dog. Pitt's F1 was decent, so maybe this will also be a good time-pass.
