Bihar Minister performs Griha Pravesh at new Patna residence

Bihar government minister Nandkishore Ram performed the Griha Pravesh ceremony on Wednesday at his newly allotted official residence at 10 Circular Road, Patna.
The ceremony followed traditional Vedic rituals, with prayers, a havan, and mantra chanting. Several supporters, religious leaders and well‑wishers attended the event. Before entering the residence, the minister performed the prescribed rituals and havan.
On the occasion, Ram named the residence "Mata Shabari Seva Sadan." He said the bungalow would not merely function as an official residence but also serve as a centre for helping poor, disadvantaged and needy people. He added that Mata Shabari's life symbolises devotion, dedication and service, and he would seek to carry these ideals into his public service.
The bungalow at 10 Circular Road holds considerable political significance in Bihar. It was previously allotted to former Chief Minister Rabri Devi.
Following the state government's recent housing reallocation exercise, the residence was vacated and subsequently allotted to Ram. After the allotment, preparations for beautification and Navagraha Puja began.
After the religious ceremonies, the minister distributed prasad among supporters and visitors. He thanked those who attended and reiterated his commitment to addressing public grievances.
Ram said that, inspired by Mata Shabari's ideals, his priority would be to ensure government welfare and development schemes reach the poorest and most marginalised sections of society.
The 10 Circular Road residence was the previous address of former Chief Minister Rabri Devi and was known as a centre of opposition politics in Bihar for the last two decades. RJD National President Lalu Prasad Yadav and RJD National Working President Tejashwi Yadav also resided there until the Samrat Choudhary government allotted it to Ram.
