Condolences to all families affected. But honestly, this is a pattern – hospital fires seem to be happening too often. We need better fire safety norms in private hospitals and regular inspections. Rs 4 lakh is not enough for such a tragedy.

CM's quick response is appreciated – at least ex-gratia announced fast. But need to ensure injured get proper treatment and families get support beyond just money. Also two fire incidents in India in two days (Delhi and Muzaffarpur) – something is seriously wrong with our fire safety systems.

Such a tragic loss in an ICU of all places 😢 The patients were already vulnerable. Hope the local administration conducts a thorough inquiry and holds the hospital accountable if negligence is found. My heart goes out to the families.

It's good the CM acted swiftly, but why does it always take a tragedy to highlight safety gaps? We need preemptive measures – fire drills, proper exits, working extinguishers in all hospitals. 4 lakh is a small sum for a life, but at least it's something for the families to start rebuilding.

Sad day for Bihar. The government should also set up a compensation fund for the injured patients and their families. Also, that this happened right after the Delhi hotel fire shows we need a nationwide safety audit of public buildings. Prayers for the departed souls 🙏
