Speaking to ANI on the occasion, Janata Dal (United) MP and the organiser of the event, Sanjay Jha, equated the Chief Minister to Maharana Pratap in ethos, calling him "the servant of Bihar."

"The way Maharana Pratap worked for, and with all sections of the society, similarly, our Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also cares for everyone equally. He is a hero just like Maharana Pratap. While Maharana Pratap sacrificed himself for the country, our CM continues to work relentlessly for the people of Bihar. He is the servant of Bihar," he said.

The minister noted the significance of celebrating such occasions to remember figures who worked for social harmony.

"Party Vice President Sanjay Singh organises a program every year on the death anniversary of Maharana Pratap... He has consistently worked to raise awareness in society about Maharana Pratap's message of social harmony. This year, too, the death anniversary was observed, and Chief Minister Nitish Kumar also participated in it. Celebrating the death anniversaries of such great figures who worked for social harmony promotes goodwill in society...," he stated.

Maharana Pratap was born on May 9, 1540. The Rajput ruler of Mewar in Rajasthan fought the battle of Haldighati with Akbar in 1576.

Respect for Maharana Pratap ji 🙏. His life teaches us about sacrifice and fighting for what's right. If our current leaders can take even 1% of that inspiration to work honestly for the people, Bihar will surely progress. The focus should be on his message, not political comparisons.

"Servant of Bihar" is a nice title, but actions speak louder than words. We need to see more concrete development on the ground - better roads, schools, and jobs. Celebrating history is fine, but don't forget the present challenges facing the state.

I appreciate the emphasis on social harmony. In today's times, we need to remember figures who united people. Maharana Pratap's legacy is for all Indians, not just one community. More such events should be promoted in schools and colleges.

As someone living in Patna for work, it's interesting to see local politics connect with medieval history. The narrative around historical figures is powerful. Hope the talk of social harmony translates into real inclusivity on the ground.

Good initiative. But honestly, these events often feel like political symbolism. Instead of just one-day programs, why not have year-round educational campaigns about our historical heroes? That would have a more lasting impact on the youth.
