Bihar: Chirag Paswan praises PM Modi on completing 12 years in office
Patna, May 26
Union Minister and Lok Janshakti Party chief Chirag Paswan on Tuesday congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi on completing 12 years of leadership at the Centre, describing the period as a historic era of service, governance, and national development.
In a message shared on social media, the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) chief recalled the swearing-in ceremony held on May 26, 2014, at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
He stated that the moment PM Modi took the oath of office marked the beginning of a transformative journey for the country, focused on development, public welfare, and good governance.
Highlighting the achievements of the PM Modi government over the last 12 years, Chirag Paswan said that the welfare of the poor remained at the centre of policymaking throughout the period.
According to him, the Prime Minister's vision transformed the principle of "Antyodaya" into a strong movement for self-reliance and inclusive development.
He further stated that public participation has turned development into a mass movement and contributed significantly to women's empowerment, innovation, economic growth, and cultural resurgence across the country.
Praising PM Modi's leadership on global diplomacy and national security, Chirag Paswan asserted that India today stands strong against terrorism and has emerged as a confident and credible power on the international stage due to the Prime Minister's far-sighted policies.
Referring to the 2014 Lok Sabha elections, Chirag Paswan noted that the National Democratic Alliance returned to power with a clear majority after nearly a decade.
He said his party had decided to join the NDA after being impressed by PM Modi's governance model and leadership style during his tenure as Gujarat's Chief Minister.
Chirag Paswan also remembered the political vision of his late father, Ram Vilas Paswan, saying he had decided to align with the NDA in the larger interest of national development and public welfare.
Reaffirming his party's support for the NDA, Chirag Paswan said the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) has consistently stood with the alliance during the last three Lok Sabha elections and will continue to work for national interest and public service under PM Modi's leadership.

While I appreciate the development, let's not forget the rising prices and unemployment. Yes, 12 years is a long time and there are achievements, but as an ordinary citizen in Patna, I still struggle with potholes and poor healthcare in our local hospital. Chirag Paswan's praise seems a bit too one-sided. Hope the next 12 years focus more on ground-level issues.
The way PM Modi handled COVID and the vaccine drive, especially for the poor - that alone deserves respect. And Chirag Paswan ji is continuing his father's legacy of supporting the right leadership. Bihar needs more central support, and this alliance is working for us! 👏
I'm a farmer from Samastipur. The PM-Kisan scheme has directly benefited my family. But 12 years is also a time to reflect - why are our educated youth still migrating for jobs? Chirag Paswan's praise is political convenience, but he should push for more action on employment in Bihar. Still, Modi's foreign policy has given India real global standing, no doubt.
Remember the days of coal scams and policy paralysis? Modi ji brought stability and vision. Chirag Paswan's father Ram Vilas Paswan was a seasoned politician who knew what's good for Bihar. Supporting NDA is smart politics for Bihar's development. The new Parliament building, the bullet trains - we're finally moving forward! 🚀
As someone who worked in Gujarat during Modi's CM tenure and now lives in Bihar, I can see the difference in development approach. But Chirag Paswan should also raise voices on issues like reservation
