"The event will not be a routine swearing-in ceremony but a grand show of political strength - Sanjay Saraogi"

Patna, May 5

Following the Bharatiya Janata Party's strong electoral performance in West Bengal and Assam, political activity has intensified in Bihar, with preparations underway for a major cabinet expansion.

The expansion of the Samrat Choudhary cabinet is scheduled for May 7 at the historic Gandhi Maidan in Patna.

Confirming the development, state BJP president Sanjay Saraogi said the event will not be a routine swearing-in ceremony but a grand show of political strength, with preparations being carried out on a war footing.

Several top national leaders are expected to attend the event, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

According to party sources, BJP national president Nitin Nabin and former Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar are also likely to be present.

The responsibility for decorating the city-from the airport to Gandhi Maidan-with flags and banners has been assigned to local party units and MLAs.

In view of the Prime Minister's expected visit, extensive security arrangements are being put in place across Patna.

Senior administrative officials, including the District Magistrate and Senior Superintendent of Police, have reviewed preparedness and coordinated with party representatives to finalise the event plan.

Tight security protocols and multi-layered arrangements are being implemented around key locations, including the BJP office and the event venue.

Deliberations over the cabinet expansion, ongoing for several days, are now in their final phase.

Political observers suggest that the reshuffle may introduce new faces while also reassigning key portfolios.

The exercise is expected to reflect a strategic balance of caste and regional representation in the state.

To manage the anticipated large turnout, the administration has devised a detailed plan for crowd control and traffic regulation.

A large stage equipped with modern facilities is being constructed at Gandhi Maidan, and security personnel will be deployed at key points to ensure the smooth conduct of the event and prevent inconvenience to the public.

Interesting to see such elaborate planning for a cabinet expansion. In my country, this would be a quiet affair in the capital. But India's politics is always larger than life, especially with elections around the corner.

Godi media will call this historic, but someone please tell me how many new schools and hospitals we got in the last 5 years? Security and stage decoration won't put roti on people's plates. 😡

Finally, some strong leadership in Bihar! The BJP's dominance in Bengal and Assam shows people trust Modi ji. This expansion will bring new energy and caste balance. Jai Bihar! 🙏

One step forward, two steps back. Why do we need a 'war footing' for a cabinet expansion? This is just vote bank politics before 2025 elections. Meanwhile, Bihar's education and health systems are crumbling. Please focus on real issues.

The cast and regional balance talk is key. Bihar has been dominated by Yadavs and Muslims for too long. Time for OBCs and Dalits to get their fair share. Modi's inclusive approach is working. Let's see who gets what portfolio.
