Jennifer Lopez's striking screen presence has drawn high praise from her 'Office Romance' co-star Betty Gilpin, who describes the Hollywood star's appearance and charisma as "so much crazier" when seen up close, calling her "the most beautiful person I've ever seen up close."

Speaking about the new Netflix rom-com 'Office Romance', Gilpin shared candid and glowing observations about working alongside Lopez, who leads the Ol Parker-directed film.

"Well, speaking of up close, she's the most beautiful person I've ever seen up close," Gilpin said, adding, "It's crazy. It's so much much crazier than you could ever imagine. She's an alien on this earth, aesthetically," in an interview with People magazine.

Gilpin also spoke about the experience of sharing screen space with Lopez in the film, which is currently streaming on Netflix following its release on Friday, June 5.

In 'Office Romance', Lopez plays a CEO at an airline company, while Gilpin's character works alongside her in a corporate setting where a rising lawyer, played by co-writer Brett Goldstein, becomes romantically involved with Lopez's character.

Reflecting on Lopez's performance, Gilpin also highlighted her comedic instincts and versatility in the romantic comedy genre.

"She is the rom-com queen," Gilpin said, adding, "Because I think within that otherworldly, beautiful shell, she's a brilliant actress and she also has that essential rom-com quality, which is being willing to really make fun of yourself and be a clown... It's a joy to watch."

Gilpin further noted the on-screen chemistry between Lopez and Brett Goldstein, saying it was evident from the beginning of filming.

The Grammy-winning performer's connection with Goldstein "was really there from day one," Gilpin recalled.

"They have that thing on screen that you can't manufacture... That's always a dice roll because you never know until you're filming if that's going to be present," she said, as quoted by People magazine.

She also added that working with Lopez made the set dynamic uniquely engaging.

"But, she adds with a laugh, 'it's hard not to have chemistry with Jennifer. I felt like we had really good friend chemistry. She's just that kind of actor. She's just so available and playful and brilliant and sexy and loves what she does,'" she said.

Gilpin concluded by noting the professional energy Lopez brings to the set, saying the cast and crew must "bring their A-game when she's around."

'Office Romance', co-written by Brett Goldstein and Joe Kelly and directed by Ol Parker, also features Tony Hale, Amy Sedaris, and Edward James Olmos.

JLo is indeed a phenomenon. I remember watching 'Hustlers' and being blown away by her performance. She's not just about looks—she's genuinely talented. But I wish Hollywood would give more opportunities to Indian-origin actors too. We have so much talent here. Just saying. 🤷‍♂️

Betty's description of JLo as an "alien aesthetically" is both hilarious and accurate. The woman doesn't age! I love that she also highlighted JLo's comedic timing—being beautiful and funny is a lethal combination. Definitely adding 'Office Romance' to my weekend watchlist.

Here in India, we have our own ageless wonders like Madhuri Dixit and Rekha, so I understand the admiration. But it's interesting how the West only now seems to appreciate women who embrace their age and continue to shine. JLo is proof that beauty doesn't have an expiration date. Respect.

I appreciate the praise, but can we talk about how the article is more focused on her looks than her acting? Betty did mention her comedic skills and chemistry, but the headline is all about beauty. This is why women in Hollywood are constantly objectified. Just a thought.

JLo in a rom-com? Sign me up! The '90s kid in me is screaming with joy. And the fact that she's working with the 'Ted Lasso' guy (Brett Goldstein) makes it even better. Betty Gilpin seems like such a down-to-earth person too. Love these wholesome Hollywood stories. 💕
