As per a release, the ECI is a pivotal constitutional authority responsible for the control, supervision, and conduct of elections in the world's largest democracy. It has conducted 18 general elections and over 400 State Legislative Assembly elections to date.

According to ECI, the theme of this year's event is "My India, My Vote", and the tagline is "Citizen at the Heart of Indian Democracy". ECI said that President Droupadi Murmu will preside over the function as the Chief Guest.

As per the ECI, the convention includes the President addressing the event and presenting Elector Photo Identity Cards (EPIC) to newly enrolled young electors and honouring electoral officers for their phenomenal work.

Just turned 18 last month and already registered! My parents took me to the booth. Feeling proud to be part of the democratic process. The theme "My India, My Vote" is so inspiring. Let's all do our bit!

Good reminder. But awareness also means knowing that sometimes our choices are limited. We need more young, clean candidates to choose from, not just the usual names. The appeal is right, but the system needs to offer better options.

As someone who has observed Indian democracy for years, the emphasis on youth participation is fantastic. The ECI has done a remarkable job managing elections at such a scale. Happy National Voters' Day!

Absolutely correct. Voting is not just a right, it's a responsibility. I make it a point to take a day off and travel to my hometown to vote in every election. My vote is my voice for the India I want to see.

The focus on youth is key. Many of my friends didn't bother registering because they think their vote won't matter. We need more campus drives and awareness campaigns to change that mindset. Jai Hind!
